There are various schemes an employer can use to deny workers' their correct wages. One common way is to misclassify employees by saying someone’s a "manager" when in fact they are not. A third way is to use independent contractors in order to pay lower wages to save money. In fact the so called "independent contractors" are employees in everything except their name.
