Federal Government Fraud (Whistleblower)
Under the Federal False Claims act, an individual who is an insider in a company, hospital, etc. and becomes aware that his or her employer is defrauding the Federal Government may bring suit on behalf of The Federal Government. This insider or Whistleblower is also called (under the statute) a Relater. Our firm is interested in working with Relaters to determine if their potential suit may be successful. We can evaluate the facts and give an opinion as to whether or not we believe the case has merit. Under the Federal Statute, the Relater is entitled to recover a percentage of what the United States Government recovers from the employer. If the Government establishes that fraud has been committed, and is successful, the relater would be entitled to a fee of at least 15% of what the government gets back.
Our firm has been a member of Tax Payers Against Fraud, which is a Washington, DC based organization that specifically tries to promote and aid attorneys who are willing to pursue claims under the Federal False Claims Act. If you think that your employer may be engaged or has engaged in the defrauding of the Federal Government, please feel free to call The Law Offices of David L. Hood, toll free at 1-866-610-4663. We would be happy to evaluate your claim and discuss how we would proceed.
